  1. Please adjust Sample Letter according to the bracketed options, in bold typeface. One letter should be sent to both of your Senators and your Representative. The letter can be found on AMSA's Website www.amsa-cleanwater.org in the Member Pipeline section under What's New. Access to AMSA's Member Pipeline is by password only. Password were forwarded to AMSA member agency lead representatives. Please contact your agency's representative regarding access to AMSA's Member Pipeline.
  2. If you need assistance with contact information for your members of Congress, you can access AMSA's new easy-to-use internet lobbying tool, Congressional Connection, located in the Member Pipeline on the website at http://www.amsa-cleanwater.org.
  3. Try to keep the content of the letter to one (1) page.
  4. Use your agency's letterhead and send original to your member of Congress. For most effective results, send duplicate copy through email or fax.
  5. If possible, place a follow-up call to the staff contact on environmental matters in your Representative=s Washington, DC office to discuss the letter is encouraged.
