AMSA ACTION:
On June 10, the AMSA National Office faxed a survey to all public agency members to assess the impacts of Year 2000 (Y2K) related computer problems on POTW operations. The National Office will use the results of the survey to prepare information on the readiness of POTWs to address Y2K problems. The results will be shared with a special Senate Committee convened to address Y2K and Congressional Research Services, both of which have contacted AMSA. Additionally, the Senate Committee has scheduled a hearing for June 26 and AMSA has been invited to provide testimony.
