Sewerage association changes name

After 35 years, the Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies is changing its name.

As of May 2, the organization will be known as the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, and its Web site will be at www.nacwa.org.

The association represents the interests of more than 300 public agencies and organizations. Its members serve the majority of U.S. sewer systems, collectively treating and reclaiming more than 18 billion gallons of wastewater daily.

The NACW works with federal regulatory agencies in the development and implementation of environmental programs impacting sewerage agencies.
