Sewer Department Draws Recognition
Officials with the Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies recently honored the Little Rock Wastewater Utility with a Gold Peak Performance Award.
The award recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for outstanding utility service.
The national association gave out 300 such awards at its National Environmental Policy Forum held in Washington, D.C., in May.
"The Little Rock Wastewater Utility is an outstanding example of environmental efforts," said Ken Kirk, executive director of the association.
