And the winner is;

Fairfax County, Va.'s Norman M. Cole Junior Pollution Control Plant has received the Gold Peak Performance Award from the Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies for achieving 100 percent compliance with all National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit limits at the facility in a calendar year. Six members of the Kansas City, Mo., Fire Department have received the 2004 International Benjamin Franklin Fire Department Award for Valor. The awards, co-sponsored by the Fairfax, Va.-based International Association of Fire Chiefs and Schaumburg, Ill.-based Motorola, recognize the members' bravery and heroism at the scene of a house explosion and fire earlier this year. The awards went to: Captain Patrick Martin; Captain Phil Atwood; Fire Fighter Marvin Donaldson; Fire Apparatus Operator Sean McKearnin; Fire Fighter David Bradley and Fire Fighter Stephen Johnson.
