AMSA Takes Action on EPA's Blending Rule

AMSA Takes Action--Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies (AMSA) filed briefs in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in a case against EPA. AMSA filed the suit because EPA has not issued a final policy on the blending rule, which would allow wastewater treatment plants to bypass the secondary treatment when tanks have too much water from rain or flooding. In addition, AMSA scored a victory in a case, Friends of Earth v. EPA, about total maximum daily loads also in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
