State Rep. Harry Readshaw, D-Carrick, will receive a national award for his eight years of leadership as board chairman of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority, or Alcosan.
He was appointed to the board in 1997.
Mr. Readshaw will receive the 2007 Local Public Service Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies at its National Clean Water Policy Forum in Washington, D.C. on May 7.
