“The Leadership Center experience is absolutely
incredible. The enthusiasm of the professors, the diversity of the subjects and
the peer networking made the Center one of the most stimulating learning opportunities I’ve ever had.”
— Lisa Hollander, Assistant General Counsel, Northeast Ohio Regional
Sewer District, Cleveland, Ohio
2005 Applications Now Being Accepted!
Since the Water and Wastewater Leadership Center’s inception in 2001, the
Center’s timely curriculum, excellent faculty and top-notch facilities have been
applauded by utility leaders. The excellent value, in time and money, was
repeatedly highlighted in comments from Center participants. The
Leadership
Center’s intensive, professional 12-day residential training program and peer
networking examines a wide-variety of leadership and management topics needed
for today’s, and tomorrow’s, utility leaders. The curriculum has been designed
for public water and wastewater utility CEOs, General Managers, Senior Managers
and upper-level management. The 2005 session, for the first time, is open to
contract operators of public water and wastewater utilities.
Member Update 04-12 includes all of the information that you need to submit an application for the Leadership Center’s 2005 session. For the Leadership Center's website, please click on http://www.amsa-cleanwater.org/meetings/leader/.
Please note: Enrollment is limited to 30 participants, and early application is strongly encouraged! Application packages are due by December 3, 2004; however, it is anticipated that the session will reach capacity prior to this date.
Leadership Center Training — Benefiting the Nation’s Water & Wastewater
Utilities
Leadership is a topic of great interest for public water and wastewater
managers. To ensure a utility’s future success it is essential to prepare and
develop leaders and management executives to meet current and future demands. To
help our nation’s public utilities fill this need, the
Water and Wastewater
Leadership Center was established by AMSA, the Association of Metropolitan Water
Agencies, the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment
Federation. Housed at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill’s
state-of-the-art Kenan-Flager executive education facilities, the
Center has
continued to grow in popularity since its inception, and we look forward to
continuing this tradition with the 2005 session.
