NACWA is pleased to announce the launch of the 2007 Join NACWA Now! membership campaign. The goal of this membership initiative is to grow the NACWA membership in all member categories, thereby strengthening NACWA’s position as the leading advocate for the collective interests of America’s clean water utilities.

Tools and Incentive Support Member Participation
Members are encouraged to share the value they receive from their NACWA membership experience with potential members— their colleagues in the clean water community. To assist in recruitment efforts, the campaign offers new marketing materials, a campaign web page, and a list of "hot" prospective members — NACWA's Most Wanted. One of the new marketing pieces is a tri-fold, business card size, NACWA membership benefit card. This card is designed for members to easily carry with them and distribute to potential members with their business card. The benefit card outlines the unique value of NACWA membership and promotes visiting the NACWA website for further membership information.

The campaign webpage can be accessed by clicking on the Join NACWA Now! icon on the homepage of www.nacwa.org. This page consists of additional resources such as:

To further encourage members to recruit, we will be offering recognition on the website and in the newsletter as well as incentives. For each new member recruited prior to September 30, 2007, the sponsoring agency will receive $725 NACWA Bucks that can be used to purchase conference registrations, publications, or other NACWA merchandise. NACWA members sponsoring new members from states where NACWA is not currently represented will receive $1000 NACWA Bucks.

NACWA staff will also be joining members in their effort to expand the membership. Staff efforts will include increasing their contact with potential members through phone outreach and incorporating personal visits with potential members during their travels for NACWA. In addition, NACWA will continue to cultivate new and existing relationships with state and regional organizations.

Make a clear commitment to recruiting. Over the next year we’ll be sending periodic Member Updates and reminders in Clean Water Advocate encouraging everyone to share in the success of this campaign. Let us know how we can support you in your recruitment efforts. To order membership marketing materials or if you have questions about membership e-mail membership@nacwa.org or call Kelly Brocato, Director of Membership Development at 202-833-1449. Thank you, in advance, for your involvement and support.
