The National Office is pleased to present AMSA members with a Resource Kit of important AMSA information. The enclosed resources are a benefit of AMSA membership, and the National Office has packaged them together to keep this important information at your fingertips. AMSA's member Resource Kit contains the 1999-2000 Position Statements, the Government Relations Directory for the 106th Congress, and the 1999-2000 Membership Directory. We hope that you consult these resources often and find them useful.

1999-2000 Position Statements
AMSA members play an important role in achieving our national water quality goals, and the 1999-2000 Position Statements serve as the collective expression of the experience and expertise of AMSA's membership. Through legislative and regulatory initiatives recommended in the Position Statements, the Association works to develop and implement scientifically based, technically sound, and cost-effective environmental programs. The Position Statements address a wide range of clean water issues and make thoughtful recommendations from the unique perspective of environmental practitioners.

Government Relations Directory — 106th Congress
AMSA's Government Relations Directory for the 106th Congress is designed to assist AMSA member agencies with their legislative and regulatory outreach activities with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Congress. The Directory provides detailed information on key offices, important committees and individuals that AMSA works with on the clean water community's priority issues. We hope you will consult this resource often as you engage national policy makers on clean water issues.

In addition to the Government Relations Directory, AMSA has a new legislative resource — Congressional Connection — that provides the clean water community with online access to Congress.

Congressional Connection is located in the Member Pipeline section of AMSA's web site, http://www.amsa-cleanwater.org.

1999-2000 AMSA Membership Directory
The 1999-2000 Membership Directory provides the AMSA community with contact information for AMSA's leadership, public agency members and affiliate members. In addition, the Directory provides valuable information on AMSA's awards program, future conferences, and AMSA's communication tools and publications.

You can also access these resources on AMSA's Clean Water on the Web site at http://www.amsa-cleanwater.org. If you have any questions about the enclosed materials please contact AMSA's National Office at 202/833-AMSA or info@amsa-cleanwater.org.
