Water/Wastewater Consulting Firm Hires New Exec

ST PAUL, MN Longtime utility industry contributor Michael
Sweeney, Ph.D., P.E., has joined management and technology consulting firm EMA,
Inc., as principal consultant.
EMA said in a company news release that Sweeney has more than 22 years of
utility experience with the city of Indianapolis, Dept of Public Works, IN;
Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati and most recently, Louisville
and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District, KY.
Sweeney has shown industry and technology leadership with organizations such as
the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Water Environment Federation (WEF)
and its Research Foundation (WERF), Association of Metropolitan Sewerage
Agencies (AMSA) and the International Water Association (IWA), the release said.
Sweeney had served for the past 12 years on the board of directors and past
several years as president of the Instrumentation Testing Association, a
non-profit technical and educational organization, according to the release.
