Parkway Sewage Plant Given Efficiency Award
The Parkway Wastewater Treatment Plant at Route 197 and the
Baltimore-Washington Parkway has received a Peak Performance Award from the
Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies.
The awards recognize facilities that achieve excellence in wastewater treatment
as measured by national pollutant discharge standards.
The Laurel-based Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission, which operates the
Parkway facility, also received awards for four other wastewater plants in
Prince George's and Montgomery counties.
