ECUA treatment plant wins national Silver Award

The Escambia County Utilities Authority's Bayou Marcus wastewater
treatment plant was recognized by the Association of Metropolitan
Sewerage Agencies with its Silver Award for the 2001 calendar year.
It is the plant's fourth consecutive award.
To qualify for the award, a treatment facility must have five or fewer
excursions in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency's
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting limits.
