•AGRICULTURE. South Dakota has hired the Bockorny Group to “monitor Farm Bill
policy, conservation and ethanol,” according to Senate lobbying records.
•ENERGY. Richard Goodstein is lobbying for the Business Roundtable on “climate
change energy legislation,” according to Senate lobbying records.
Florida Crystals, a sugar producer, hired Washington Council Ernst & Young to
lobby on “energy tax issues.”
•HEALTHCARE. John Dudinsky is lobbying for the Respiratory Medication Providers
Coalition, according to Senate lobbying records.
•IMMIGRATION. DC Legislative & Regulatory Services is lobbying for the American
Nursery & Landscape Association. Lobbyists David Crow, Laurie-Ann Flanagan and
Elizabeth Grotos are helping the association push comprehensive immigration
reform.
•INFRASTRUCTURE. Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld is lobbying for Preston Harbor,
a Texas-based developer, according to Senate lobbying records. Susan Lent and
Sean O’Shea, a former program director and legislative assistant, respectively,
for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), are lobbying for a provision in the
Water Resources Development Act.
•LOCAL. Patton Boggs is lobbying for the National Association for State
Community Services Programs for community services block grant funding and
legislation, according to Senate lobbying records. Marek Gootman and Pamela
Welsh are lobbying for the association, which is a collection of state
anti-poverty agencies.
Fairfax County, Va., hired Alcalde & Fay to lobby for federal funding for a
variety of projects, according to Senate lobbying records.
•MARITIME. Blank Rome Government Relations is lobbying for Lloyd’s Register
North America on an issue related to maritime regulations.
The Canadian Shipowners Association has hired Kelley Drye &Warren to lobby on
“any and all maritime and water issues,” according to Senate lobbying records.
•SCIENCE. Barbour Griffith & Rogers is lobbying for the Bomgar Corp., which
provides “remote support solutions.” BGR lobbyists Bryan Cunningham and Loren
Monroe are lobbying for Bomgar.
•WATER. Grizzle Co. is lobbying for the National
Association of Clean Water Agencies on “peak flow-blending policy for wet
weather events,” according to Senate lobbying records.
