2004 National Pretreatmenr Coordinators Workshop

The 2004 National Pretreatment Coordinators Workshop will be held October 27 - 29 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, in Norfolk, Va. This year's program builds on over 15 years of informative sessions focused on the latest pretreatment issues and provides an exceptional opportunity for pretreatment professionals from across the United States to network with industry peers, identify problem pretreatment issues and work together to create solutions.

The Workshop format is designed to maximize interaction among attendees and representatives from all levels of government. If you are active in your agency's pretreatment program this is the one workshop you should not miss!

Workshop to Address Latest National Program Developments
This year's forum will once again bring together experts from local and state governments and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Headquarters and Regions to discuss opportunities to enhance the National Industrial Pretreatment Program.

The Workshop will feature informative sessions that will offer attendees a chance to interact with their peers on issues of importance to the pretreatment community. In order to make this a more productive learning environment, the National Pretreatment Coordinators Workshop is business casual.

Critical Pretreatment Issues to be Explored
The Workshop will delve into many timely pretreatment issues that affect public wastewater agencies across the nation, including:

  • Local Limits - Explore the ins and outs of EPA’s recently released Local Limits Guidance, as well as alternatives to numeric limits, such as best management practices and narrative standards.
  • Emerging Pollutants - Attendees will examine the latest information and strategies on emerging pollutants such as pharmaceuticals and disinfection by-products.
  • Technical Training - Learn the latest from expert trainers on identifying pollutants of concern and collecting and analyzing data.
