Hotel Accommodations & Rates
AMSA has secured a special group rate of $199 per night (single/double), plus applicable taxes, at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel for conference attendees. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, April 28, to receive the special rate. After this date, AMSA must release the unreserved rooms and reservations will be accepted on a space available basis only, with no guarantee that the conference rates will apply.

To ensure a hotel room, contact the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel at 202/898-9000. Be sure to identify yourself as an AMSA Conference attendee.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm, check-out is 12:00 pm. Baggage storage is available for your convenience. Any requests for late check-out should be directed to the hotel. The address and telephone number of the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel is: 999 9th Street, NW, Washington, DC; phone: 202/898-9000.

Conference Registration
To register for the 2004 National Environmental Policy Forum & 34th Annual Meeting, please complete the enclosed registration form and mail or fax it along with your registration fee(s) payable to AMSA. You may also register online at AMSA’s website. Advance registrations must be received by Thursday, May 13, 2004. Advance registrants will receive written confirmation via mail or e-mail. Faxed and online registrations will be accepted after the deadline but will not be confirmed in writing.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be made if the cancellation is received by AMSA by May 13. Thereafter, a $300 cancellation fee will be applied.

Airline Discounts
AMSA has selected American Airlines as the official carrier for the 2004 National Environmental Policy Forum & 34th Annual Meeting. To utilize the group discount, call the toll-free number 800/433-1790 to make your reservation. Refer to the Association’s AN Number 0554AO and the conference dates of May 22-26 when making your reservation. AMSA’s discount rates will be available up to 3 days before and after the conference.

Ground Transportation
The Renaissance Washington DC Hotel is approximately 15 minutes from Ronald Reagan National Airport and approximately 1 hour from both Dulles International and Baltimore-Washington International Airports. The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle.

Taxi: $15 from National, $55 from Dulles, $60 from Baltimore

Super Shuttle: Available from National, Dulles or Baltimore – representatives are available at all area airports or call 800/258-3826. Note that the Renaissance does not work with Super Shuttle to arrange for return transport to the airport.

Metro (subway): Yellow line train (direction – Mt. Vernon Sq.) from National Airport to Gallery Place. From Gallery Place, exit at 9th & G Streets toward the Renaissance which is approximately 2 blocks away.

Car Rental: AMSA has selected Avis Rent-A-Car as the official car rental company for the 2004 National Environmental Policy Forum & 34th Annual Meeting. Discounts are available by calling Avis directly at 800/331-1600. Our Avis Worldwide Discount Number is D003081.

Hotel Parking: The Renaissance Washington DC Hotel has self parking available at $20 per day and valet parking available at $25 per day, each including in-and-out privileges.
