Hotel Accommodations & Rates
The deadline to reserve a room at the Capital Hilton at the special conference rate of $219 single/double expired on Friday, April 7, 2006, and now will be accepting reservations on a space available basis only, with no guarantee that the group rate will apply. If you are unable to reserve a room at the Capital Hilton and would like assistance making a hotel reservation for your trip to Washington, DC, please contact the National Office at 202.833.2672.

Check-in time is 2:00 pm; check-out is 12:00 pm. Baggage storage is available for your convenience. Any requests for late check-out should be directed to the hotel. The address and telephone number of the Capital Hilton is: 1001 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036; phone: 202.393.1000.

Conference Registration Fees & Information
To register for the Pre-Forum Committee Meetings & Events and/or the National Clean Water Policy Forum, please complete the registration form and mail or fax it along with your registration fee(s) payable to NACWA. You may also register online at NACWA’s website at (http://www.nacwa.org/meetings/06may) or at WEF’s website (http://www.wef.org). Advance registrations must be received by Friday, April 21, 2006. Advance registrants will receive written confirmation via mail or e-mail. Faxed and online registrations will be accepted after the deadline but will not be confirmed in writing.

Registration Fees:
Attendees can customize their participation by selecting one of several available registration
options. Attendees should select the registration option that best suits their needs:

  • Option A: Pre-Forum Meetings/Functions & National Clean Water Policy Forum (April 30 – May 3)
    Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in NACWA & WEF committee meetings, NACWA Awards Luncheon, Pandemic Preparedness for Public Utilities Briefing, as well as all social events and the full National Clean Water Policy Forum program.
    Option A - $695 public agency, $795 private entity

  • Option B: Pre-Forum Meetings/Functions Only (April 30 – May 1)
    Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in NACWA committee meetings, NACWA Awards Luncheon and Pandemic Preparedness for Public Utilities Briefing, and all social events through May 1.
    Option B - $345 public agency, $445 private entity

  • Option C: National Clean Water Policy Forum (May 1 – 3)
    Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in all National Clean Water Policy Forum events beginning with the Pandemic Preparedness for Public Utilities Briefing (May 1) and concluding with the Roundtable Breakfast (May 3).
    Option C - $350 public agency or private entity

Cancellation Policy:
A full refund will be made if the cancellation is received by NACWA April 21.
Thereafter, a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the registration cost will be applied.

Transportation
The Capital Hilton is approximately 20 minutes from Reagan National Airport. However, several Greater Metropolitan Area airports are within 45 minutes - 1 hour of the hotel by car (Dulles International Airport is approx. a 45 minute drive; Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport is approx. a 1 hour drive).

Ground Transportation:
The hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle; however there are several transportation alternatives to choose from:

Taxi: $15 from National, $50 from Dulles, $65 from BWI

Super Shuttle: Available from National, Dulles or BWI – representatives are available at all area airports or call 800/258-3826. Note that the guests must make their own reservations with Super Shuttle to arrange for return transport to the airport.

Metro (subway): Blue line train (direction – Largo Town Center/Addison Road) from National Airport to Metro Center. Transfer at Metro Center, from the Blue line to the Red line heading toward Silver Spring and travel 1 stop to Farragut North. Exit at the K Street exit and walk one block to the corner of 16th and K.

Car Rental: NACWA has selected Avis Rent-A-Car as the official car rental company for the Pre-Forum Meetings/Functions & 2006 National Clean Water Policy Forum. Discounts are available by calling Avis directly at 800/331-1600. Our Avis Worldwide Discount Number is D003081.

Hotel Parking: The Capital Hilton has valet parking available at $28 per day, including in-and-out privileges.
